Tesla has been the most sensational automobile company in the tech community for numerous reasons but the mind behind all of it is just one man, Elon Musk. He has been working hard at Tesla day and night to meet the production demands, fulfill his own goals and bring new updates to his cars improving even the 2012 editions to a flabbergasting extent. Elon Musk has a sentimental history with gaming he started his career by making an indie game, it was just the start of his career and gaming seems to still be a part as his favorite activities. We are well aware of his interests in gaming as we see in 2019’s E3 he went on stage to make announcements and have a lively chat along with Todd Howard, and also went on to confirming Fallout Shelter and Cuphead for Tesla. What intrigues me is the plans of implementation and controls for the two games, Shelter should be controlled straight from the Touchscreen and Cuphead could make use of the buttons and joystick in the steering wheel if its ergonomic enough. Cuphead will be a tough port for the controls alone!
“The reason I got interested in technology was video games,” Musk said. “I probably wouldn’t have started programming if it wasn’t for video games. Video games are a very powerful source for getting young kids interested in technology.” He went on to say that they have “a way bigger effect than people realize,” noting that many of the software engineers who get hired at Tesla and SpaceX come from a gaming background.

In the last Update of Version 9, Tesla had brought in a slew of interesting improvements and Easter Eggs like a totally revamped User Interface, and a handful selection of retro games with collaboration with Atari :
- 2048 (Not tied with Atari)
- Super Breakout
- Missile Command
- Lunar Lander
2048 and Super Breakout were added in April, 2019 while the rest were there since August, 2018.
This is practically the world’s most expensive Atari console, the TeslAtari console!!
To our surprise Tesla came up with another partnership this time with Vector Unit to bring a custom Tesla version of their game, Beach Buggy Racing 2 with the car in the game matching your Tesla’s colors and model. The newest addition to the Arcade mode in the car. Tesla has already started with their unique style of advertisement by inviting people to try the new arcade mode to their stores, this is a great way of staying relevant in media without spending a a penny, i call this smart marketing.
Bring your friends and family to a Tesla showroom to experience the new Tesla Arcade until June 30.
Access the full library of games directly from the vehicle’s touchscreen to play gaming classics like Atari Missile Command and Asteroids – or experience our newest addition, Beach Buggy Racing 2, a kart racing game where you can careen, blast and launch your way through 22 tracks. Players can recruit new drivers (see if you can find our favorite) and use the steering wheel controls for the most immersive gaming experience.
If you’re interested in stopping by, kindly RSVP and visit a store near you.
