Airbnb, one of the world’s most popular tourism and accommodation platforms, was negatively affected by the Covid-19 outbreak. Brian Chesky, co-founder and CEO of Airbnb, has started looking for jobs for the 1900 people they have sacked.

Airbnb co-founder and current CEO Brian Chesky posted a blog post outlining the situation they are experiencing. Stating that they are not sure how long the travel bans will continue, Chesky expressed his opinion that many of our habits will change in the coming years.

CEO announced that he was looking for work for everyone who was laid off

The main detail that Chesky should have appreciated in his statements was the sentences he voiced for everyone else who was laid off. Speaking of a forced separation, Chesky said, “We have great people leaving Airbnb, and I think other companies will love them as much as I do. If you are hiring, reach out to me at brian.chesky@airbnb.com and our team will connect you.”

Brian Chesky’s exemplary behavior is the kind that will go beyond employee rights and set a sectoral standard. It is argued that between 30 and 50 million people will remain unemployed due to the epidemic in the USA, where the headquarters of Airbnb is also located.
