Announcing its financial report for the first quarter of 2020, US-based video game publisher Electronic Arts (EA) has announced that some games will receive updates to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X for free. The company also announced that it plans to release 14 new games in a year.

FIFA 20 has reached more than 25 million players, EA said, while the popular American football game Madden NFL 20 has reached the highest number of players in Series history. EA announced that Apex Legends, the Battle Royale game, which is in competition with productions like PUBG and Fortnite, was among the most downloaded free games on PS4 last year.
EA announced that they had made a profit of $ 498 million in the first quarter of 2020 and $ 1.7 billion throughout the year. Commenting on the report, EA Chief Executive Andrew Wilson said last week that they planned to roll out the gamut on more digital distribution channels, based on their announcement with Google Stadia.
