Neuralink, a nylon company that intends to connect the human brain to computers, will soon announce new achievements. The firm, which aims to develop “ultra high bandwidth brain-machine interfaces to connect humans and computers,” announced Thursday plans to host an event in San Francisco on the evening of July 16.
We're having an event next Tuesday in San Francisco to share a bit about what we've been working on the last two years, and we’ve reserved a few seats for the internet. Apply here: https://t.co/1VQsv4gAA4

This new company is about the idea of combining the human brain with a computer. Rather, the aim of the company is to create an interface between the brain and the machine of a machine with very wide bandwidth so that it can actually communicate between human and computer. The company announced on July 10th that at an event in San Francisco tomorrow, participants announced that we can learn the latest achievements and future plans of the team. Perhaps one of the interesting things about this is that Neoralink decided to give the public a chance to test it. Volunteers can answer eight questions and explain why they want to participate in the event on the LinkedIn social network. In addition, the company assures that we can watch live broadcasts online.
What do we know about Neuralink?
Musk founded the company in an effort to give humans a performance edge as we cope with the arrival of artificial intelligence — a technology he views as anto the race. The challenges are immense, though, when it comes to developing the technology, making it practical and affordable, and convincing people it’s safe and desirable.
Musk is constantly talking about the need to create an interface that can be used between the brain and the machine. Musk stated that a “human-A.I. symbiote” would help “democratize” A.I. and take power away from an “evil dictator” machine. Basically, to avoid artificial intelligence taking over, humans will have to merge with artificial intelligence:
“I think if we can effectively merge with A.I. by improving the neural link between your cortex and your digital extension of yourself, which already, like I said, already exists, just has a bandwidth issue. And then effectively you become an A.I.-human symbiote. And if that then is widespread, with anyone who wants it can have it, then we solve the control problem as well, we don’t have to worry about some evil dictator A.I. because we are the A.I. collectively.”
Neuralink was founded in 2016 as a medical research company in California. The main purpose of their activities will be to focus on medical uses. According to Urban, Neuralink will be effective in the treatment of severe brain injuries such as stroke, cancer ulcers and congenital problems, and will be marketed by 2021. At the beginning of its activities, the company said it created business opportunities in 15 areas.
